Project title

Sunflower and Ginger project.

Project goal:

The goal remained to be to contribute towards socio-economic empowerment of producer communities thereby increasing their income and creating employment.

 Program objectives:

To improve market oriented production for producer organisations through access to sustainable markets.

To adequately equip producer organizations with good financial planning, management and  capacity to enhance organization sustainability.

To improve the capacity of producer organizations to produce more quality and quantity of sunflower and ginger hence improved farmers’ income.

To improve capacity of board members and management to be able to practice good governance, accountability, good leadership and transparency.

To facilitate the factory to acquire modern working equipment for improved Management Information system (MIS).

To promote gender responsive technologies and innovations in the intervention locations.

Direct beneficiaries:

823 (517M and 306F) Sunflower project and ginger project 2,371 (1728M and 643F) Smallholder farmers.
